EcoFilm: The Iconic Film Strip

0 Liked

Film photography is undeniably a unique art form that carries an unmatched aesthetic and sentimentality, and has seen a rise in popularity in recent years. Even as we see the world shifting towards being more digitalised and technologically driven, more and more people are inclined to take up analogue photography. While it might seem counterintuitive, sometimes in this fast-paced society, all we need is some time to slow down and take a good look at the world around us.

However, while we love film, the Earth doesn’t. Higher demand for film means a greater amount of waste generated. We’ve written in to NEA to check if film negatives can be recycled, and composite materials (including plastic and an emulsion layer), they may not be recycled at the blue recycling bins(sic)". From the film canisters to the negative film rolls themselves, once your print has been processed and developed, these byproducts are usually disposed of.

Eco Film

Retain the iconic look. Our EcoFilm is made from actual film negatives into stunning prints that give you the best of both worlds; an old-school look with crisp photos. Each EcoFilm retains the distinctive translucency of film, while images are printed onto photographic paper. A magnet is added at the back of each film, transforming it into a fridge magnet. This means that each strip is also stiff enough to be displayed horizontally on a flat surface. Keep a lookout in the upcoming months for this brand new product.
