How to make Father's Day special

As we grow older, so do our responsibilities. With bills to pay, increasing workloads, and less time and energy, we miss out on spending time with our loved ones.

This Father's Day, take a moment to think about all the amazing things your dad has done for you. Chances are, he has been a rock-solid support in your life, so take this chance to show him how much you care. Here are our suggestions on how to make your father feel loved and appreciated:

1. Quality Time

Make time for him. I know it's cliche, but it's not often said for nought. One of the most important things you can do for your dad is to spend time with him. Whether you're talking, going for a hike or even fishing.

Centre for Fathering has a whole range of activities planned out for Father's Day 2022! Centre for Fathering is a non-profit that seeks to empower families by promoting active parenting from both mothers and fathers. This year, they have arranged a host of activities. From tree planting, outings and sporting activities, this is a great way to celebrate Father's Day with the family!

Remember this grumpy grandpa from A Business Proposal? All a chaebol like him wanted was to go fishing with his sons. If your dad enjoys fishing, go on a fishing trip with him, and commemorate it with this fishing photobook specially created for Father's Day!

2. A Handwritten Card

A small but incredibly personal gesture that will truly show your appreciation. While we might not be too comfortable with verbally expressing our affection, a handwritten card is a great medium that can help us express our feelings. This tangible sentiment can be kept to be looked back at fondly as the years pass.

3. A Good Meal

Cook a meal for the family to celebrate! This can be a great bonding moment. If that's something you're not comfortable with, treat your Dad to a good meal outside. Everybody appreciates a good meal, and Singapore is a food haven.
